City Council Regular Meeting -10/09/06
Minutes - Page 7

revenue sharing proceeds and how they will cover the
additional costs.

Public Comment
John Kysylyczyn, 3083 N Victoria Street
Mr. Kysylyczyn requested a staff analysis of the costs of the
program; and how costs of the program were perceived to be
more than the original Waste Management proposal (i.e.,
$1.50 versus $2.45 per household per month).

Mayor Klausing advised that specific questions would be
answered at the Study Session.

3.g

Approve Halloween Bonfire Permit for B-Dale Club,
2100 N Dale Street
Councilmember Kough advised that the neighbors are
supportive of the request; however, Councilmember Kough
questioned if a fire truck would be available on site during
the bum.

Interim City Manager Miller advised that the Fire Marshal
and Fire Chief met with the B-Dale Club and that this
activity had occurred for a number of years, and noted that
the Department would monitor the bum, similar to all
requested bums. However, Mr. Miller noted that having a
truck and trained personnel on site for the duration would be
cost-prohibitive and that the Fire Department would be on
standby for any and all emergencies as is their standard
operating procedure.

Mr. Miller noted the condition of the request, as per the staff
report dated October 9, 2006, that if the wind was in excess
often miles per hour, the fire permit would become invalid.

Klausing moved, Maschka seconded, approval of the request
by the B-Dale Club, 2100 N Dale Street, for a bonfire permit
for Halloween 2006, as per the conditions outlined in the
Staff Report dated October 9,2006.

Roll Call
Ayes: Kough, Maschka; Ihlan; Pust and Klausing.
Nays: None.

Halloween Bonfire
Permit
B & Dale Club
2100 N Dale Street
