<br />~SEVfbbE <br />City Council Minutes <br />Work Session - Regular Meeting <br />July 15, 2002 <br /> <br />The City Council met on the above date with the following members 5:35 p.m. <br />present: (voting order): Maschka (Absent from Work Session due to Roll Call <br />family illness; arrived at 6:48 p.m.), Schroeder, Kough, Klausing, and <br />Kysylyczyn. Review of Conceptual Plans for Renovating the <br />Public Works Maintenance Facility and the Police <br />Department; Review, also, of Draft Public <br />Information Pieces for a November Referendum <br />Mark Wentzell reviewed the overall site, a revised Civic <br />Center Drive, and three possible schemes for an <br />expanded Police Department. <br /> <br />Ed Kodet reviewed the current Public Works <br />Maintenance Yard and discussed the need for greater <br />maneuverability, greater height, and more workspaces. <br /> <br />Kough asked about security and the gasoline island. <br />Schroeder asked about the sand, salt storage facility. <br /> <br />Pam Anderson reviewed space programming for the <br />Police Department. She highlighted security, evidence <br />storage, and space needs. She summarized the Police <br />Program, especially as that Program is reflected in the <br />three design concepts. <br /> <br />Kysylyczyn asked Mathwig for his preference. Mathwig <br />spoke in favor; personally, of a one level Police <br />Department. Kysylyczyn asked about costs and growth <br />issues.
