Or2anizational Business <br /> <br />A. <br /> <br />Authorization to Transfer Three Current Public <br />Works Maintenance Employees and Recruit for the <br />Replacement of a Central Garage Mechanic <br />Schroeder moved, Kough seconded to authorize City <br />Manager Beets to transfer three (3) current Public Works <br />employees to new classifications in Utility, Street and <br />Central Garage Divisions; and the replacement of the <br />Central Garage mechanic position. <br /> <br />Public Works Director Schwartz reviewed this request <br />for these internal employee transfers within the Public <br />Works Department; necessitating the recruitment and <br />replacement of a Central Garage Mechanic, bringing the <br />department back to full staffing. <br /> <br />Councilmember Schroeder clarified that the positions <br />were warranted to continue providing services, and that <br />the positions were budgeted. <br /> <br />Mayor Kysylyczyn asked Councilmember Schroeder if, <br />considering the 2003 budget, whether the position shared <br />as 12 Street and 12 Utility would be addressed in any <br /> <br />Staff Transfers and <br />Replacements <br />
