Mr. Schroeder responded that <br />Mr. Schwartz was effectively utilizing existing staff in <br />several departments to address potential downtime. <br /> <br />Ayes: <br />Nays: <br /> <br />Roll Call <br />Maschka, Schroeder, Kough, and Kysylyczyn. <br />None. <br /> <br />B. <br /> <br />Consider Appointments to Citizen Advisory <br />Commissions <br /> <br />Kysylyczyn moved, Kough seconded to appoint Mihai <br />Marasteanu, Todd Anderson, and Joseph Rossini to the <br />Public Works and Safety Transportation Commission <br />and to appoint James Yost to the Police Civil Service <br />Commission. <br /> <br />Mayor Kysylyczyn recognized audience member, Dick <br />Lambert, who requested which commissioner the Mayor <br />was appointing and the credentials of those appointed in <br />comparison to other applicants not chosen. <br /> <br />Mayor Kysylyczyn responded that the applications had <br />been provided in previous Council packets for public <br />information. <br /> <br />Considerable discussion ensued between Mayor <br />Kysylyczyn and Mr. Lambert. <br /> <br />Mayor Kysylyczyn directed City Manager Beets to read <br />his July 26, 2002 memorandum to the City Council, <br />which Mr. Beets read verbatim. <br /> <br />Ayes: <br />Nays: <br /> <br />Roll Call <br />Schroeder, Kough, and Kysylyczyn. <br />Maschka. <br /> <br />Kysylyczyn moved, Kough seconded, to direct staff to <br />advertise for a vacancy on the City's Planning <br />Commission for Council consideration of appointment at <br />the regular August 19, 2002 meeting. <br /> <br />Citizen <br />Advisory <br />Commissions <br />
