<br />City Council Minutes - 08/19/02 <br />Page 16 <br /> <br />Acknowledge the Expenditure of Tax-Exempt Funds <br />by Wingspan, Incorporated <br />Finance Director Miller reviewed the background of this <br />request of Wingspan, Inc. for expenditures of $170,000 <br />in Roseville for a four (4) bed supervised-living health <br />care facility located at 2939 Troseth. Mr. Miller advised <br />that the City of Little Canada will be the issuer of the <br />bonds. <br /> <br />Kough moved, Klausing seconded adoption of <br />Resolution No. 10023 entitled, "Resolution Calling for a <br />Public Hearing on the Issuance of a Revenue Note to <br />Finance Health Care Facilities, and Authorizing the <br />Publication of a Notice of the Hearing," establishing a <br />public hearing for September 23, 2002. <br /> <br />Ayes: <br />Nays: <br /> <br />Roll Call <br />Maschka, Kough and Klausing. <br />None. <br /> <br />G. <br /> <br />Housing Assistance to the Housing Resource Center <br />& GMHC for the Purchase and Replacement of <br />Home Located at 2012 Eldridge Avenue. <br />Community Development Director Welsch reviewed the <br />property's background, options and staff <br />recommendations to assist the Housing Resource Center <br />and Greater Metropolitan Housing Corporation (GMHC) <br />in purchase and demolition of this blighted property, and <br />construction of a replacement home. <br /> <br />Residents of the neighborhood had previously appeared <br />speaking for this Council action at the Work Session. <br /> <br />Discussion items included the possibility of an eminent <br />domain process vs. the Housing Resource Center option. <br /> <br />Klausing moved, Maschka seconded approval of <br />assistance in an amount not to exceed $65,000 from the <br />Roseville Housing Fund, to the Housing Resource Center <br />under the Greater Metropolitan Housing Corporation for <br />the purchase, demolition and rebuilding at property <br /> <br />10023 <br />Acknowledge <br />Expenditure of <br />Tax-Exempt Funds <br />by Wingspan, <br />Incorporated <br /> <br />Housing <br />Assistance to <br />Housing Resource <br />Center and <br />GMHC <br />2012 Eldridge <br />
