<br />Regular City Council Minutes - 11/18/02 <br />Page 6 <br /> <br />to address this situation between the Cities of Roseville <br />and Maplewood. <br /> <br />Discussion included the need for staff to have standing <br />agreements in place with neighboring cities to avoid <br />situations such as this in the future; limited recourse <br />available to the City of Roseville in not being able to <br />assess this delinquent utility account on property taxes; <br /> <br />Staff was directed to work with City Attorney Squires in <br />attempting to bring closure to the collection process and <br />attempt to negotiate settlement of this delinquent account, <br />avoiding undue legal expenses due to the small size of the <br />account. City Attorney Squires concurred that the City's <br />options were limited, and court expenses could exceed the <br />amount to be collected. <br /> <br />No further action was taken. <br /> <br />Recess Recess <br />Mayor Kysylyczyn recessed the meeting at 6:50 p.m. and <br />reconvened the meeting at 7:06 p.m. <br /> <br />IV. <br /> <br />Communication <br /> <br />A. City Council Office Hours, Wednesdays from 1:00 to <br />3:00 p.m. <br />Councilmember Kough announced, for public information, <br />that the City Council and Mayor now have an office at the <br />City Hall Administration Building and will be available <br />for personal or phone contact with residents on <br />Wednesdays from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. Mayor Kysylyczyn <br />and Councilmember Kough encouraged the public to seek <br />them out, and encouraged other Councilmembers to make <br />use of the office as their work schedules allowed. <br /> <br />Staff was directed to advertise the office hours in various <br />media sources. <br /> <br />7:00 p.m. <br />Communication <br /> <br />City Council <br />Office Hours <br />
