<br />Regular City Council Minutes - 12/02/02 <br />Page 25 <br /> <br />37 Mid Oaks Lane; any interest of Councilmembers in <br />interviewing either candidate; and consistency in <br />appointments. <br /> <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Klausing, Kough, Schroeder, Maschka and <br />Kysylyczyn. <br />Nays: None. <br /> <br />B. Consider Changing Council Meeting Time <br />Councilmember Klausing had requested discussion <br />regarding regular Council meeting start time. <br /> <br />Klausing moved, and following his clarification of when it <br />would be effective, Kysylyczyn seconded, approval of a <br />change of the regular Council meeting start tinle to 6:00 <br />p.m. as of January 1, 2003. <br /> <br />Discussion included logistics of the Council Chambers and <br />accessibility to the public; elimination of the Work <br />Session; upcoming technology improvements to the <br />Chambers; and further discussion of the room's set up. <br /> <br />City Manager Beets assured Mayor Kysylyczyn and <br />Councilmembers that staff was prepared to arrange the <br />room according to Council preference. <br /> <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Klausing, Kough, Schroeder, Maschka and <br />Kysylyczyn. <br />Nays: None. <br /> <br />C. Consider Approving the City Attorney's Contract <br />City Manager Beets and City Attorney Jay T. Squires <br />concurred that agreement had been reached on the <br />proposed contract for City Attorney services. Language <br />most recently negotiated related to Section 1.1, a.) and b.) <br />Term, Scope and Nature of Retainer Services; and <br />Section 1.2, 1.2.1 Contested Case Matters regarding who <br />would represent the City in contested cases or litigation. <br /> <br />Council <br />Meeting Time <br /> <br />City Attorney <br />Contract <br />
