Regular City Council Minutes -12/09/02
Page 13

Mayor Kysylyczyn explained his rationale for voting
against this motion, stating his belief that there's
credibility in consistency; and remained of the opinion that
this $2 Million project had been a waste of taxpayer
monIes.

Councilmember Klausing stated that, while the project
was certainly not up to expected standards, he would vote
in favor of the motion, in keeping with his responsibility to
avoid putting the City in a position for future litigation
issues, as confirmed by City Attorney Anderson.

Councilmember Kough and Schroeder concurred with
Councilmember Klausing.

Ayes:
Nays:

Roli Cali
Klausing, Kough, Schroeder and Maschka.
Kysylyczyn.

C. Approving Solid Waste Removal Contract for City
Facilities
Mayor Kysylyczyn asked if inclusion of clean up day was
discussed as part of the proposed contract.

Public Works Director Schwartz responded that the clean
up day would be considered separately due to a number of
factors, and that it would be in the City's best interest to
seek bids separately.

Schroeder moved, Klausing seconded, award of the bid for
waste removal from City of Roseville public facilities for
the period January 1, 2003 through December 31, 2004, to
Superior Services in the bid amount of $19,983.33 and
$8.00 per cubic yard for waste removal in excess of the
amount described in the specifications.

Roll Call
Ayes: Klausing, Kough, Schroeder, Maschka and
Kysylyczyn.
Nays: None.

Approving Solid
Waste Removal
Contract for
City Facilities
