<br />Regular City Council Minutes - 12/16/02 <br />Page 3 <br /> <br />Mr. Carey further discussed the next step in moving <br />younger families into the single-family homes being <br />vacated. Mr. Carey spoke of their attempt to tailor a <br />Roseville-specific program in cooperation with the Greater <br />Minneapolis Housing Association on a program for them <br />to buy existing homes, bring them up to code, and target <br />them to young families. Mr. Carey provided the contact <br />number, 651-303-0123; to call for further information on <br />this project, with an office scheduled to open in early <br />2003. <br /> <br />Schroeder moved, Klausing seconded, authorizing the <br />Mayor and City Manager to execute the Memorandum of <br />Understanding (MOU), with modifications, between the <br />City of Roseville and United Properties in connection with <br />the development of property located at 2800 Arona Street <br />and surrounding infrastructure. <br /> <br />Klausing moved, Schroeder seconded, amendment to the <br />motion to direct staff to follow through on the approved <br />Memorandum of Understanding and return with a <br />Purchase and Redevelopment Contract between the City of <br />Roseville and United Properties upon completion of the <br />land use process. <br /> <br />Mayor Kysylyczyn thanked the developers for holding <br />community meetings and encouraged continued <br />communication with residents; and expressed his <br />encouragement that the proj ect was moving forward. <br /> <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Klausing, Kough, Schroeder, Maschka and <br />Kysylyczyn. <br />Nays: None. <br /> <br />B. <br /> <br />Update on the City's Communication System and <br />Request to Approve a Feasibility Study <br />Kough moved, Maschka seconded, approval of the City's <br />participation in a feasibility study from Haigh, Todd & <br />Associates, Inc. in an amount not to exceed $10,000 for <br />the purpose of evaluating the replacement of the City's <br /> <br />City <br />Communication <br />System <br />Feasibility Study <br />
