<br />Regular City Council Minutes -12/16/02 <br />Page 2 <br /> <br />Consent Agenda - Mayor Kysylyczyn called for any comlnents Agenda <br />or discussion on the Consent Agenda. There were no <br />comments. <br /> <br />III. Presentations <br /> <br />A. Update on Arona Development and Consideration of a <br />Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with United <br />Properties (PF 3243) <br />Community Development Assistant Cathy Bennett <br />introduced the subj ect and updated Councilmembers on <br />the various components of the site plan issues being <br />addressed by staff with developers over the last few <br />months. <br /> <br />Brian Carey, representative with United Properties, <br />reviewed various irnprovernents that had been addressed in <br />working cooperatively with staff and the developers (i.e., <br />ponding and drainage issues). Mr. Carey advised <br />Councilmembers that the developers were finalizing the <br />revised site plan for presentation to the neighborhood <br />again; and then brought before the City Council. Mr. <br />Carey further advised that United Properties had achieved <br />Housing and Urban Development (HUD) funding; and <br />preliminary marketing of the project was fruitful. <br /> <br />Mr. Carey further alluded to the preliminary contacts made <br />to market the property to Roseville residents in <br />cooperation with the Coalition of Churches. <br /> <br />George Weinman, Senior Pastor at Roseville Lutheran <br />Church, 1215 Roselawn Avenue West, was introduced <br />by Mr. Carey; at which time Pastor Weinman <br />enthusiastically elaborated on the status of affordable <br />housing needs being met by this project. Pastor Weinman <br />advised that several meetings had been held with <br />interested parties in the housing units, with 75 out of 77 <br />units being held by deposit for first choice by those <br />attending the meetings, with 51 interested parties from the <br />City of Roseville. <br /> <br />Presentations <br /> <br />Arona <br />Development <br />Update and <br />United Properties <br />Memorandum' <br />of Understanding <br />(PF 3243) <br />
