1998 City of Knseville Residential Sttrdy <br />Decision Resources, Ltd. <br />July, 1998 <br />• The approval rating had improved t���elve percent since ihe 1990 study. <br />"I'wenty-seven percent experienced "quite a lot'' or "some" first-hand contact with the Roseville <br />City Staff. <br />• A very solid seventy percent, albeit down five percent froin the 1990 study, rated the Cit�� <br />Staff as "excellent" or "good_" <br />• Fifteen percent rated them as "only fair" or "poor," while twenty-one perccnt were unable <br />to provide a rating. <br />Forty-four perccnt had contacted — by telephone or in person — a Roseville City staff mcmbcr. <br />• Eight percent each had contacted the Public Works Department or the Parks and <br />Recreation Department. <br />• Seven percent talked with the Police. <br />• Six percent spoke with the Building Inspection Office, <br />• Five percent contactcd the Motor Vehicle Licensing Ofiice. <br />• On each quality service dimension, City staff was rated "excellent"or "good" by at least <br />ei.ghty-five percent. <br />Park and Recreation Opportunities: <br />Seventy-four percent felt either "very well informcd" or "somewhat informed" abc►ut the <br />Roseville Park and Recreation System and facilities. <br />• Twenty-six percent rated themselvcs as "not tao weli informed" or "not at all iniormed." <br />A vcry high ninety percent rated the park and recreation facilities in the City as "excelient" or <br />"good." <br />• Eight percent feli they were "only f'air." <br />Seventy-eight percent reported they or households members had used the Neighborhood Yarks <br />during the past year. <br />• Seventy-si�c percent had visited Central Park." <br />• Seventy percent each had used the City's trails. <br />� Forty-two percent had visited lhe Harriet Alexander Nat�►re Cente�. <br />• 1�hirty-five percent reported using the Roseville Activities Center. <br />• Twenty-six percent used the Roseville Skating Center. <br />• Twenty-four percent had visited Cedarhol�n Golf Course. <br />• Seven percent each had used the Gymnastics Center ai the Roseville Area High Schoal or <br />gymnasiums at Brim Hall and Centra� Elementary Schools. <br />Page 7 <br />
