ROSEVILLE VISTA 20�0+ <br />ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT GROUP <br />y :.i .i�• •.• - n •i �- as • 1 • • •�: _ <br />�,ive and Work Balance <br />Revise the City�s land use plan to accomplish the following: <br />- Utilize innovative land use approaches through mixed use <br />developments, e.g. PUD's, emphasizing green space, encourage <br />creative mixed use developments such as residential <br />villages, innovative joint parking arrangements, right-of- <br />way abandonments, etc. AIl types of land use, including <br />park space, could be relocated as necessary to balance the <br />community environment. � <br />- Eliminate blighted areas and facilitate their redevelopmer►t <br />particularly focusing on I35W and Twin Lakes. <br />- Support non-profits, arts organizatians, churches, etc. as <br />positive contributors to the community life. <br />Grow the Tax Base <br />Redevelop blighted areas (35W and Twin Lakes) to facilitate the <br />creation of an enhanced tax base. <br />Facilitate the deve3opment of office and light industrial with <br />respect to I35W and Hwy 36. <br />Maintain the appropriate funding levels to encourage redevelopment <br />activities. <br />Focus on priority business that the City wishes to attract through <br />marketing the cammunity. <br />Form a venture capital graup and identify local entrepreneurs. <br />Attract corporate decision makers to help fester a strong Chamber <br />of Commerce. <br />Continue and expand the Chamber/City business visitation and <br />retention program to retain and attract new business while <br />leveraging the City's All Star City designation. <br />Aggressively recruit major companies to the City. <br />Work to inf�uence and lobby State fiscal policy regarding the cost <br />of doing business. <br />
