Maximize the community's return on investment regarding <br />attractions for tourist industry, i.e., the speedskating oval and <br />retail centers. <br />Seek partnerships with the private sector to facilitate the <br />expansian of locai companies. <br />Assist local businesses considering a national or international <br />initiative as well as international companies interested in a <br />Roseville location. <br />Use State programs that provide useful information which assist <br />local businesses' competitive positions and work force needs. <br />Create research and development cooperation between academia and <br />industry/business. <br />Create efficiencies and lower costs of City operations to attract <br />development through the following: <br />1. Privatization of City services. <br />2. Appropriate funding of infrastructure programs. <br />3. Co�Iaboration and joint ventures with other municipalities <br />and governmental units. <br />Create Jobs <br />Seek partnerships with the private sector. <br />Recruit medical development bio-technology companies. <br />Develap and enhance the financial capacity of the City to <br />encourage job growth and retention. <br />Attract companies through implementing an infrastructure prQgram <br />and establishing joint ventures with other municipalities and <br />governmental units. <br />Encourage use of former schools for incubator purposes. <br />Consider the potential of arts initiatives as a major employment <br />opportunity . <br />
