11/18/92 <br />ROSEVILLE VISTA 2000 <br />� � � <br />��licies Sub-Committe�- Vision and Goals Draft <br />Visian : A policy of cooperation between volunteer agencies, couaty, State, Schaol <br />District and City govemments will be deve3oped because governrnent agencies <br />are representatives of all residents and stewazds of their resources. Therefore, <br />cooperation between the agencies is in the best interest of tl�e community. <br />G o a i: (1 } Create specific policies to ens�re that: <br />a. Legal agreements for acquiring land/facilities from ather <br />government units are developed. <br />b. All public facilities are used to their maximum. <br />c. All public faciliries be accessible to all ages and forms of <br />disability. <br />d. All public facilities be connected by alternative means of <br />transportation. <br />e. Additional revenue sources to fund leisure activities and staffing <br />aze developed. <br />f. There will be addidonal staffing for parks and facilities. <br />g. Forrnal volunteer programs will be established and maintained. <br />h. The city will be refarested to recreate an attractive, healthy <br />atmosphere. <br />Goal: (2) Acquire and maintain new open space �roughout the city as land is <br />redeveloped with a balanced mix of housing units to provide an even more <br />attractive commanity far new families. <br />Goal: (3) Devetop a camprehensive masterplan for fmancing and implementing t�ae <br />maintenance of existing facilities, acquisition of property, development of new <br />parks and construction of new facilisies based on priorities established by a <br />representative comnzission. <br />
