Some highlights:
. There is a good relationship with Roseville Engineering
and the Traffic Safety Committee which consists of the
Police Chief, City Manager and the City Engineer.
. Fairview by Rosedale is the busiest short section of
street in the county.
. The Rosedale area County road semaphores are State of the
Art and have increased safety whi3e decreasing
congestion.
. Smooth traffic flow leads to reduced accidents.
. Biggest cause of accidents is inattentiveness (seconded
by Chief Zelinsky and D.C. Alleva).
. Only the State can set speed limits -- cities go through
counties who apply to the State for speed regulations.
. Engineering rule of thumb is 5 accidents of the same type
nerit review of the locations.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
. Education - on traffic control devices, e.g. if signal is
out it should be treated as a red signal a green
signal.
. Keep up goad work by the Traffic Safety Committee.
