Health 1 is licensed by the <br />state to provide ambulance service to Roseville, Little Canada, <br />Shoreview, Vadnais Height�, and other metro communities. They <br />provide advanced life support, to include paramedics, basic iife <br />support and medical transportation services. Health 1 is a Not- <br />For-Profit corporation. A video presentation described computer- <br />aided dispatch which helps increase coveraqe and reduces response <br />times. Mark gave Health � respanse data for Roseville (attached). <br />Thouqbts for th� futur�: Automatic cardiac difibulators for use by <br />First Responders; increased CPR training for citizens and increased <br />oommunity awareness of 911 response capabilities. <br />A questioh and answer period followed. <br />Roseville Fire Chief Hewitt gave a preBentation with question and <br />answer period on fire operations. <br />Hiqhliqbts: Roseville Fire Department is one of the top 5 <br />insurance company rated fire departments in the �tate. Roseville <br />fire Department is a paid per call erqanization. The department <br />comprises 3 stations, 10 trucks, and authorized strength of 81, <br />p1uB 1 Fire Marshall, 1 Fire Inspector and one secretary. <br />Roseville Fire Department and New Briqhton and Shoreview combine to <br />provide a shared hazardous material response team. <br />Tbouqbts ior th• �uturas Smoke detectors and sprinklers in all <br />Roseviile home; increased public education for f.ire prevention; <br />relocation of fire stations to ensure adequate staffing and <br />response; "urban survival" clasBes in the school system with <br />(1) <br />
