- Establish transit related design criteria based on the <br />number of daily person trips generated by major new or <br />�xpanded bui3di�gs �� be eons�ruct�d in Roseville� <br />- Monitor effectiveness of high accupancy vehicle lanes on <br />T-394 for possible application in Roseville on I-35w and <br />Highway 36. <br />- Examine the feasibility of mini-hubs in the Rice Street <br />area and the corner of Lexington and Larpenteur. <br />- Explore establishing a nDial-a-Ride" program for city <br />residents. <br />- Encourage businesses and government to permit flex-time <br />scheduling. <br />- Develop a proposal for express or limited stop service <br />to and from the airport (e.g. limousines, vans, taxis, <br />or buses). <br />- Explore use of "quarter zone" for shuttle service around <br />the Rosedale area. <br />- Provide direct freeway access to mass transit parking <br />areas. <br />- Promote the use af *'Park and Ride" facilities and <br />express bus service originating farther from the central <br />cities to reduce traffic passing thraugh Roseville. <br />- Equip transit vehicles with secure bicycle racks and <br />transit hubs with safe bicycle �torage facilities. <br />- Encourage caoperative use of existing parking lots with <br />shuttle buses for special events and during peak <br />shopping pe'riods. <br />Motorized Trans�ortation <br />. Roseville should continue to maintain and i3nprove its <br />netwark of residential streets. They should be well <br />marked, well maintained in all seasons, and designed with <br />resident input. Street standards shoald be flexible to <br />provide for residential differences. Truck traffic shouid <br />be carefully controlled and limited to specific commercial <br />areas. Roseville should monitor the State and County <br />highway system within the community to be sure that it is <br />well maintained, attractive, safe, and provides good access <br />to our own commercial and business areas without intruding <br />into our residential areas. <br />4 <br />
