<br />City Council Regular Meeting - 11/27/06 <br />Minutes - Page 11 <br /> <br />Councilmember-elect Dan Roe, 2100 Avon Street <br />Mr. Roe pointed out the Council Policy provided in the agenda <br />packet, indicating that applications would be sought from anyone <br />applying. <br /> <br />Further discussion ensued regarding the application process and <br />policy. <br /> <br />Councilmember Pust advised that she would request applications <br />from all candidates, followed by discussion, and if no deviations, <br />she would not be requesting interviews with incumbents. <br /> <br />Councilmember Kough concurred with Councilmember Pust. <br /> <br />Staff was directed to inform individual incumbent candidates <br />eligible for reappointment to submit their applications, for City <br />Council discussion and consideration at the December 18, 2006 <br />regular City Council meeting. <br /> <br />By Council consensus, staff was authorized to advertise for <br />vacancies for the City's Advisory Commissions as appropriate <br />based on vacancies, term expirations, and resignations; and <br />establish a deadline for submitting applications for Monday, <br />January 15,2007, as recommended by staff, for March 31,2006 <br />term expirations. <br /> <br />10. Councilmember -Initiated Items from November 20, 2006 and Councilmember- <br />Past Council Meetings Initiated Items <br /> <br />10.a Request of Councilmember Ihlan: Consider obtaining <br />outside legal opinions on Twin Lakes Environmental <br />Review <br />Councilmember Ihlan withdrew her request and informally <br />postponed discussion; noting that she may bring back <br />discussion as appropriate at a future date. <br /> <br />11.
