<br />City of <br /> <br />~~~ <br /> <br />Special City Council Meeting <br />City Council Chambers, 2660 Civic Center Drive <br />Minutes <br />Tuesday, November 28, 2006 <br /> <br />Call to Order <br />Mayor Klausing called to order a Special Meeting of the Roseville <br />City Council at 4:00 p.m., for the purpose of Selecting the Next <br />City Manager. <br /> <br />Councilmembers Pust; Kough; Maschka; Ihlan and Mayor <br />Klausing were all present. <br /> <br />City Manager Selection Process <br />City Attorney Scott Anderson was also present, along with <br />Human Resources Manager Eldona Bacon, who had overseen the <br />application process to-date, with the assistance of Personnel <br />Decisions, Inc. (PDI). Interim City Manager and Finance Director <br />Chris Miller, as one of the City Manager candidates, was not <br />present at tonight's meeting. <br /> <br />For the benefit of the audience and viewing public, Mayor <br />Klausing provided background information on the selection <br />process to-date and provided a context for tonight's discussion <br />and proposed procedure. Mayor Klausing noted that of the <br />original applications, PDI had reviewed them and provided 12 <br />candidates whose resumes and applications were consistent with <br />the City Council criteria previously identified. That field had <br />been narrowed in a Special Council meeting held on October 31, <br />2006, to six candidates to be interviewed by the City Council, <br />provided with various review panels, psychological and leadership <br />testing and reference checks, and had been publicly introduced to <br />and met by the public in November. Mayor Klausing noted that, <br />since the interviews in November, one candidate had withdrawn <br />their application, with five candidates remaining of those <br />interviewed to-date. <br /> <br />Call to Order <br />4:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Resolution 10452 <br /> <br />City Manager <br />Selection Process <br />
