<br />3. The City Council could designate an individual or individuals to negotiate with the <br />prospective city administrator on its behalf. It is the custom and practice of our <br />school district clients to use this option and designate the school board chair and <br />the school district's attorney as the individuals authorized to negotiate. As with <br />the second option presented above, the City Council would authorize the <br />designated individual(s) to negotiate the best possible contract and to report to the <br />City Council. The City Council would receive the report and the <br />recommendations of the designated individual(s) and would vote to either accept <br />or reject the terms as negotiated. <br /> <br />RRM: 98856 <br />
