First, awareness was examined: <br />Are you a�are of a neiqhborhood crime <br />watch proqram in your neiqhborhood? <br />Only one-half of the sample was aware of a neighborhood crime <br />watch program in their areas: <br />YES.......................................50% <br />NO........................................50� <br />Greater publicity would seem indicated. <br />Awareness was highest among: <br />* Seniors <br />* $62,500-$75,000 yearly income households <br />Since geography was nat a factor in awareness, there is no one <br />area of the community where more information appears particularly <br />needed. <br />Next, participation was measured: <br />Do you participate in the proqram? <br />93 <br />
