Support was even higher among 5-9 unit apartment building <br />residents and $62,500-$75,000 yearly incame households. <br />Opposition was scattered across the sample. <br />Oppanents were then queried: <br />Why do you feel that �ay? <br />Dissension stemmed from two sources -- fear that quality would <br />decline even further in the city and strict parochialism: <br />CAN'T HANDLE ROSEVILLE ....................10� <br />SHOULD STAY HERE ...........................8$ <br />Senior couples were particularly adamant about the need to <br />canfine services to the City of Rosevilie. <br />There is a majority consensus in favor of contracting with <br />other cities for providing services, so long as their is a <br />palpable benefit to Roseville. <br />Code Enforcement: <br />Roseville citizens were asked two questions about code <br />enforcement. First, the perceived severity of enforcement was <br />obtained: <br />Do you feel that the City is too touqh, <br />about riqht, or not touqh enough fn <br />enforcinq the City Code on such nuisan- <br />ces as qarbage disposal, junk cars, <br />messy yards, and noise? <br />Over two-thirds felt that enforcement was "about right:" <br />T�O TOUGH ..................................1% <br />ABOUT RIGHT............. ..................68% <br />NOT TOUGH ENOUGH ..........................25� <br />DON'T KNOW/REFUSED .........................7% <br />Among those disagreeing, �Yi� �enden�y w�s to see enforcement <br />procedures as "not tough enough." <br />Groups feeling more strongly that enforcement was "about <br />right" included: <br />34 <br />
