Expansion to a spring program was also examined: <br />Should the City establish a similar <br />proqram in the 8prinq of the year? <br />A smaller majority favored the establishment of a Spring program: <br />YES.......................................55� <br />NO........................................37% <br />DON'T KNOW/REFLJSED .........................8� <br />However, almost forty percent were opposed. <br />There was no statistically significant subgroup variation. <br />While there is great support for the present Fall program, <br />increased costs for improved services and extension to the Spring <br />were more controversial. <br />Tree Plantin : <br />Roseville residents were asked about a more aggressive tree <br />planting program: <br />�ould you favor or oppose a more aggres- <br />sive effort by the City in the plantinq <br />of new trees? <br />Over three-quarters of the community supported this approach: <br />FAVOR .....................................76% <br />OPPOSE....................................14� <br />DON'T KNOW/REFLJSED ........................10� <br />Only fourteen percent disagreed. <br />Support was even higher among: <br />* 5-9 unit apartment building residents <br />* Blue Collar househalds <br />* 18-34 year olds <br />* $12,500-$25,000 & over $50,000 yearly income <br />households <br />Opposition was scattered across the sample. <br />Supporters of a more aggressive program were then asked two <br />follow-up questians.
