Should the effort prioriti$e city <br />parks, boulevards, or both? <br />Program enthusiasts supported a dual approach: <br />CITY PARKS .................................2% <br />BOULEVARDS .................................9� <br />BOTH......................................64$ <br />Support for boulevards planting was somewhat higher than in city <br />parks. <br />A priority on boulevards only was supported more frequently <br />by $50,OOd-$62,500 yearly income households. <br />A split priority was strongly endorsed by: <br />* Senior coupZes <br />* Blue Collar households <br />* 18-24 year olds <br />* $12,500-$25,000 & $75,000-$100,000 yearly income <br />househo�ds <br />* Zone 4 residents <br />Residents, then, would suppart a two-prong approach. <br />Costs were also raised: <br />wauld you still favor it if property <br />taxes were increased to cover program <br />costs? <br />A solid majority of pragram enthusiasts remained committed: <br />YES .......................................55� <br />NO........................................19� <br />DON'T KNOW/REFLTSED .........................3% <br />Some defection, however, was noted. <br />Continued support was higher among: <br />* Renters <br />* Over 10 unit apartment building residents <br />* 18-24 year olds <br />* $12,500-$25,000 & $62,500-$75,040 yearly income <br />households <br />* Zone 2 residents <br />Only Blue Collar residents were more likely to switch their <br />support. <br />49 <br />
