Do you support or oppose the concept
of a Community Center for Roseville?
And do you feel strongly that way?
By a sixty-five percent to twenty-eight percent split, residents
favored the concept af a Roseville Community Center:
STRONGLY SUPPORT ..........................24%
SOMEWHAT SUPPORT ..........................41$
SOMEWHAT OPPOSE ...........................17
STRONGLY OPPOSE ...........................11$
DON'T KNOW/REFUSED .........................8
However, this does not indicate support or opposition for a
particular bond referendum to fund construction and operations.
"Strong support" was higher among:
* Renters
* Over 10 unit apartment building residents
* Clerical-Sales & Blue Collar hauseholds
* 25-44 year olds
* Some college education
* $12,500-$25,000 yearly income households
"Support" was more concentrated among:
* 5-9 unit apartment building residents
* Owner-Manager households
* 18-24 year olds
* $62,500-$75,000 yearly income households
"Opposition" soared among:
* Senior couples
* Retirees
* Over 65 year olds
* College graduates
It should be noted, however, that this level of support is a
change from the previous study; in fact, three years ago, a
plurality opposed the concept.
The City may wish ta review the possibility of constructing
a community center, bearing in mind that tax costs wll greatly
impact voting preferences.
74
