PUBLIC SAFETY ISSUES
Roseville residents were queried about a variety of public
safety issues and programs. Most peope feel safe in Roseville,
but street lighting is a problem and contributes to some
uneasiness. Vandalism, alcohol and chemica abuse, reckless
driving, and teen pregnancies were concerns. Residents were
generally satisfied with current medical services in the city and
particularly praised the Health One ambulance service. Lawful
gambling was acceptable to most residents, but a clear need for
local regulation was evident. A majority also saw pipelines and
storage tanks as a public safety concern and support a user fee
on these companies to underwrite public protection services.
Feelinqs of Safety:
Roseville residents were asked a pair of questions to
establish their sense of safety.
