<br />City Council Regular Meeting - 12/04/06 <br />Minutes - Page 15 <br /> <br />Mayor Klausing requested that staff provide comparison park <br />dedication fee information for those cities used in the Truth in <br />Taxation hearing with similar populations. <br /> <br />Mayor Klausing opined that, as the park dedication fee analysis <br />may become more detailed, it may be prudent to increase the fee <br />at this time, and make a determination at a later date on actual <br />calculations. <br /> <br />After further discussion, and timing considerations, it was Council <br />consensus that the proposed fee schedule be approved as <br />recommended by staff, with the exception of the park dedication <br />fees; with action on those proposed for January of 2007. <br /> <br />Councilmember Maschka noted that, on the comparison list <br />provided by staff, developing communities were charging more <br />than developed communities for park dedication fees. <br /> <br />Councilmember Ihlan further addressed proposed copying fees for <br />self-copying and staff-copying documents; and suggested that <br />self-copying fees remain at current rates of $0.1 O/page. <br /> <br />Klausing moved, Ihlan seconded, adoption of Resolution No. <br />10455 entitled, "Resolution Establishing the 2007 Fee Schedule;" <br />effective January 1, 2007, for regulatory-type fees in accordance <br />with the attached Fee Schedule, amended to leave the Park <br />Dedication -residential fee at current amounts at $1,000.00 per <br />unit; self-copying charges remaining at $0.10/page; and staff- <br />copied copying charges increased to the recommended amount of <br />$0.25/page. <br /> <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Ihlan; Kough; Pust; Maschka and Klausing. <br />Nays: None. <br /> <br />Councilmember Kough, in an unrelated note, requested that Mr. <br />Brokke include notice to several property owners on Western <br />Avenue, of the Parks and Recreation Commission meeting <br />scheduled for Tuesday, December 5, 2006; for the discussion <br />about the goose population problem. <br />
