City Manager Malinen suggested that a <br />2 meeting with the City Attorney be postponed until the HRC had gathered their z�esearch for the <br />3 benefit of all parties. City Manager Malinen was asked to contact the League of Minnesota Cities <br />4 and the League of Minnesota Cities Insurance Trust for a broader perspective and an analysis of <br />5 legal risks to the City. <br />6 <br />7 Welcoming Center <br />8 Commissioner Oiielie updated commissioners on her contacts with the City of Austin's <br />4 Welcorning Center representatives and asked that individual commissioners outline questions for <br />10 a conference call between the HRC and that representative. <br />11 <br />12 City Manager Malinen said he would check with staff to see if such a conference call could be <br />13 arranged at a date/time to be scheduled by the HRC after they develop their questions. <br />14 <br />15 Rosefest Parade Participation (June 23) <br />l 6 A brief discussion was held see�Cing a volunteer for the annual Rosefest Parade. none of the <br />I 7 cornrnissioners expressed interest. Commissioner McGee said she would alert Chair Delmore <br />18 that she may wish to volunteer and coordinate with essay contest winners for their involvement <br />19 in the parade in addition to advising Chair Delmore of suggested agenda topics for the next <br />2Q meeting. <br />21 <br />22 <br />23 <br />24 <br />25 <br />26 <br />27 <br />28 <br />Commissi.oner Crump asked that Commissioner McGehee e-mail copies of the City Police <br />Department's taser and high speed chase policies. <br />Other <br />City Manager Malinen distributed the first annual City Department Report for 2Q07 ta <br />commissioners. <br />29 Commissioners noted that Roseville's Essay Contest Winner, Erik Shannon, received first place <br />3Q in the Tenth Annual League of Minnesota Hurnan Rights Essay Contest. The award program is, <br />31 May 17, 2008 in Crystal. <br />32 <br />33 Adjournment <br />34 Coxnmissioner Venters moved and Commissioner McGehee seconded adjournment of the <br />35 meeting at 7:58 p.m. Motion carried 5/0. <br />
