item 2 JuEy 8, 2008 Community Dialogve in Roseville Sample Script to Invite Community Partners: The Rosevillc Human Rights Commission is planning a community dialogue to increase awareness of how people of all racial and cultural backgrounds experience life in our community. Our goal is to bring together people who live, work, attend school andJor worship in Shoreview to engage in a dialogue that bridges differences and builds greater understanding across cultures in order to pramote peace, cooperation and unity in our community. We will usc the award-winning Cultural Complementarity Model of the United Way as a framework. We are secking pariners from business, cducation and nonprofits to join with us in planning and carrying out the dialoguc. As a member of the Roseville Human Rights Commission, I invite you and your organization to join us as a sponsor. As a sponsor, you would agrec to: • Send a representative to a planning session. • Recruit 8-10 people associated with your organizaiion frorn diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds who would be willing to participate in a diversity dialogue based on tl�eir experiencc or exposure to different cnitures and ethnic groups. • Provide one or more of the following types of support: o Contribution of $100 or more to cover costs of the event, or o Donate in-kind support such as printing of materials, publicity, or food, or o Volunteer to help set-up and cleaa�-up or small group facilitation. If you agrce to be a sponsor, plcase complete the attached form and return it ta the adc�ress indicated by August 15, 200$.
