Chapter I. <br />Chapter II. <br />RuZes for the Roseville Human Rights Commission <br />Revised Jun�, 1986 <br />Name: The organization shall be called the <br />ROSEVILLE HUMAN RIGHTS COMMISSiON, subsequently <br />to be referred to as the Commission. <br />Members: The Commission s�all consist of ten (1Q) <br />members to be appointed by the City Council. <br />Chapter III. Palicp: <br />A. It shall be the public policy of the City <br />of Roseville to fulfill its responsibility as <br />a partner with the State Depar�ment of Human <br />Rights in securing for aZl citizens equal oppor- <br />tunitp in housing, empZoyment, public accommo- <br />dations, public services and education, and to <br />work consistently to improvE the human relations <br />climate of the Citp of Roseville. <br />� B. It shall be the Qolicy of the Commission <br />to be informed of a11 local, state, national <br />and international events and trends which bear <br />upon Human Rights as that term has been defined <br />and implemented by local, state, national and <br />international consensus. <br />� <br />Chapter IV. Purpose: The purpase of the Commission is ta <br />secure for aII citizens equal opportunitq in <br />emploqment, housing, public accommodations, <br />public services, and educatiion and fu11 partic- <br />ipation in the affairs of th�s communi�y by <br />assisting the State Department of Human Rights <br />in implementing the Min�esota Human Rights <br />Acts, Chaptier 3b3, 1984 and 1985, and by <br />advising the City Council on long range programs <br />to improve community relations in the Citq of <br />Roseville. <br />Chapter V. Or anizational Structure: <br />A. Officers: The officers of the Commission <br />sha11 be the Chairperson, Vi�e-Chairperson, <br />Recording Secretary - (Staff Ass�stant} and <br />Chairperson of specific committees. <br />� 1. Chairperson: <br />� <br />(a) S�all be elected annuslly at the <br />regu�ar October meeting. <br />
