The Chairpersan shall <br />call special meetings if s/he deems <br />,necessary: The Chairperson shall <br />be responsible for reporting to the <br />Council or delegating other committee <br />members to give reports to the Council <br />concerning ac[ion of the Commission. <br />Vice-Chairperson: <br />(a) Shall be elected annually at the <br />regular October meeting. <br />(b) Duties: Assist the Chairperson. <br />'�he Vice-Chairperson shall preside <br />at meetings in case of absence of <br />the Chairperson. In case of vacancy <br />of the Chairperson position, the <br />Vice-Chairperson shall become Chair- <br />person and a new Vice-Chairperson <br />elected at the next regular Commis- <br />sia� meeting. <br />3. Recording Secretary - Staff Assistant: <br />(a) A non-voting member - will be <br />filled bp the Administrative <br />Assistant to the City Manager. <br />(b} Duties: To <br />secretarial <br />Commission <br />mintttes of <br />Commission. <br />4. Committees: <br />provide research and <br />assistance to the <br />and committees. Keep <br />the meetings of the <br />(a) Wi11 be appointed when necessary <br />as detiermined bq the Commission. <br />(b) The Chairperson shall appoint a <br />nominating committee to be com- <br />posed of three current Commissioners <br />to propose a slate of officers for <br />consideration; such slate to be <br />formed at Ieast one meeting prior <br />ta the scheduled el.ection. <br />
