Ciry Manager Malinen voluntecred to bring up at the City Council <br />10 level in the fiiture for foliow-up and policy discussion. <br />11 <br />12 Attendance PoGcy <br />13 Commissioners discussed former Commissioner Keeney's recent resignation; the resulting <br />14 vacancy; and attendance of othex commissioners. <br />15 <br />16 <br />17 <br />18 <br />I9 <br />Chair Delmore volunteered to e-mail Commissioner Crump and encourage his �utux'e attendance. <br />Chair Deimore reconvened thc regular business meeting for remaining agenda items at 7:53 p.m. <br />20 Approval of Minutes <br />21 As there was no quorum avail.able, Chair Delmore rescheduled approval of the March 13, 2007 <br />22 meeting minutcs to the Maymeeting. <br />23 <br />24 Follow-up Discussion — Meeting with RAS District 623 <br />25 Commissioner Venters opined the importance of follow-up on recruiting a Youth Liaison for the <br />26 HRC and suggested tl�at Chair Dclmore inciude it on next mionth's agenda for further discussion <br />27 and follow-through. <br />28 <br />29 <br />3U <br />31 <br />32 <br />33 <br />34 <br />35 <br />36 <br />37 <br />38 <br />Commissioner McKenzie suggested that a criteria shee# be drawn up for discussion at the next <br />meeting and seek district staffl s input on the criteria to ensure student interest in serving on the <br />I�RC. <br />Chair Deimore volunteered to follow-up with the St. Paul Foundation and contact information <br />provided by Ms. Eager. <br />Chair Delmore opined the importance of building on some of the other things previously <br />discussed, such as CiTy input and Police Department trust issues. <br />39 Commissioner McGehee opined that the HRC should £ocus on schools and the community at this <br />40 time specifically when the School District had sought assistance froxn ihe City in faznily supporl; <br />41 and the RoseviZle citizens possibility facilitating and becoming involved with children's <br />42 education, such as in aparhnent complexes with latchkey students, and the ability to provide <br />43 community space to get people interested in spending time tutoring. <br />44 <br />45 Commissioner Delmore offered that she could train tutors. <br />4� <br />
