File: CTNDC <br />Page: 3 of 3 <br />Bullying can also accur though electronic means via Web postings, e-mails, chat <br />rooms and text messaging. <br />3 2 "On school district property o�r at school-related functions" means all school <br />district buildings, school grounds, sehool buses, school vehicles, school <br />contracted vehicles, or any other vehicles approved %r school district purposes, <br />the area of entrance or departure from school grounds, premises, or events, and all <br />school-related functions, school-sponsored activities, events, or trips. -While this <br />policy prohibits bullying and the school district reserves the right to imposc <br />discipline for violations of this policy at these locations and events of which it is <br />made aware, ihe schoal distzict does not represent that it will provide supervision <br />or assume liability for bullying which may occur at these Iocations an.d events. <br />4.0 REPRISAL <br />The school district will discipline or take appropriate action against any student, teacher, <br />administrator, volunteer, contractor, or other employee of the school district who <br />retaliates against any person who makes a good faith report of alleged bullying or against <br />any person who testifies, assists, or participates in an investigation, or against any person <br />who testifies, assists, or participates in a proceeding or hearing relating to such bvllying. <br />Retaliation includes, bat is not limited to, any form of intimidatian, harassment, or <br />intentional disparate treatment. <br />5.0 NOTICE <br />5.1 This policy shall be conspicuously posted. <br />5.2 The school district will communicate this policy to students, families and <br />employees. <br />5.3 This policy shall appear in a student rights and responsibilities handbook and an <br />abbreviated �ersion of this policy shall appear in student handbooks. <br />Legal References: Minn.
