���r����������� <br />Human Rights Commission Notes <br />August 9, 2005 <br />Present: Phillip Crump Steve Smith, Bob Venters <br />Staff: Caroiyn Curti <br />The Cozxzrxzission did not have a quorum so thosc present held a.rn informal discussion a%out <br />upcoming activities. <br />Fonun on Qctober 11, 2005. <br />Confirmed Speakers <br />• Attorney General Mike Hatch <br />• Mike Ward, Terrorism Coordinator, US Department of Justicc <br />• Mary Jane Momson, Professor of Law, Hamline Universiiy <br />Steve Smith will check with Suzann DeLeon and Chuck Samuelson to see if they will <br />participate. <br />Carolyn Curti will work on a postcard and news release that we will send out closer to thc <br />date. <br />Next month's mccting will bc at 8:01 p.rn. on Septeznber 13. It is election night, and i.he City <br />cannot hold any rneetings until after th.e polls close. Carolyn Curti will be worki.ng at the <br />election so w.ill. not at�end the September Human Rights Commission meeting. <br />
