The Commission will iry to work with the Roseville Police with the goal to form a partnership
with them.
Chair McKenzie said she wouid contact the Chaska Police Chief to gather information on
how the Human Rights Commission could begin the process of sponsoring a"listening
circle."
Commissioners suggested that the Police Chief ineet with twa Cornmissioners to explain
procedures. Commissioner Venters suggested this would be an opportunity for the Police to
educate Commissioners.
Coznmissioners discussed how old Human Rights Cornmission is. Do we have a 20 or 25 year
celebration coning up? If so this could be an opportunity for an open house and a way to
educate the public on what our Coinmission does.
Meeting adjourned at 9:OQ.
2
