The bookmark would include a brief statement about Black History month and a list of <br />books, including books for younger readers, and infonnatian about the Hurnan Rights Commission. <br />Commissioners will submit book suggestions to Carolyn Curti as soon as possible. <br />League of Minnesata Human Rights Cotnmissions Annual Meeting <br />Thelma McKenzie thanked Mark Chapin and Karen Vnuk for their help at the annual meeting. <br />Department of Humae Rights Annual Human Rights Day <br />Thelma McKenzie informed the Commissioners that Julian Bond will be the guest speaker at the <br />Department of Human Rights annual conference on December 5. The Department of Human Rights <br />is offering a lower rate of $75 for members of local carnrnissions. Phil Crump moved and Larry <br />Voeller seconded a motion to send up to five Commission members or staff to the conference. <br />Commissioners are to let Carolyn Curti lrnow if they are interested in attending. <br />Adjournment <br />Meeting adjoumed at 9:00 p,m. <br />4 <br />
