<br />City Council Regular Meeting - 12/18/06 <br />Minutes - Page 14 <br /> <br />and reconvened at 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />6. <br /> <br />Conduct a Public Hearing and Consider Certification of <br />Unpaid Utility and Other Charges <br />Mayor Klausing opened the Public Hearing at 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Interim City Manager and Finance Director Chris Miller briefly <br />summarized the staff report dated December 18, 2006, outlining <br />City Code, Sections 506, 801, and 802, for annual certification to <br />the County Auditor for the following years' property taxes, of any <br />unpaid false alarm, water, sewer or other charges in excess of <br />ninety (90) days past due. <br /> <br />Public Comments <br />No one appeared for or against. <br /> <br />Mayor Klausing closed the Public Hearing at 7:32 p.m. <br /> <br />Kough moved, Pust seconded, adoption of Resolution No. 10459 <br />entitled, "Resolution Directing the County Auditor to Levy <br />Unpaid Water, Sewer and other City Charges for Payable 2007," <br />as identified on Exhibit A. <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Ihlan; Kough; Pust; Maschka and Klausing. <br />Nays: None. <br /> <br />8. <br /> <br />Conduct a Public Hearing and Consider a Moratorium on <br />Single-Family Residential Subdivisions <br />Community Development Director John Stark summarized his <br />staff report dated December 18, 2006 for consideration of an <br />ordinance creating a moratorium on residential lot splits. Mr. <br />Stark referenced a written request dated December 11, 2006 from <br />Ruth Partridge, owner of land at 3008 and 3010 Cleveland <br />Avenue, seeking exemption for that property, due to a recently- <br />signed purchase agreement with United Properties, and pending <br />completion of the municipal approval permitting process in order <br />to close purchase of the property. <br /> <br />Mr. Stark also referenced an e-mail from Tim Johnson (no copy <br />available); and another potential request from a property owner in <br />the audience requesting an exemption. <br /> <br />Resolution 10459 <br />Public Hearing & <br />Consider <br />Certification of <br />Unpaid Utility & <br />Other Charges <br /> <br />Public Hearing & <br />Consider a <br />Moratorium on <br />Single-Family <br />Residential <br />Subdivisions <br />
