Mayor Klausing suggested the requests be split into two motions. Klausing moved, Maschka seconded, the following modifications to the Community Development Department budget for 2007, as follows: an increase in the budget for the Building Permits and Codes Division of$l,OOO in "Other Services and Charges" for the purpose of funding increased gasoline expenditures; and an increase in the budget of $8,400 for professional services (primarily a recording secretary for the Variance Board and Planning Commission). Roll Call Ayes: Ihlan; Pust; Maschka and Klausing. Nays: Kough. Motion carried. Klausing moved, Pust seconded, the following modifications to the Community Development Department budget for 2007, as follows: an increase in the budget for the Economic Development Division by $25,350 in "Personnel Services;" for the purpose of funding a shared part-time administrative assistant position with the Roseville HRA, thus authorizing the creation of a part-time (.75 full-time equivalent) Senior Office Assistant at a Salary Grade of 6 (pending further discussion and approvals); and an increase in personnel costs to reflect changes in duties that may result from departmental reorganization at an estimated $5,750. Roll Call Ayes: Pust; Maschka and Klausing. Nays: Ihlan and Kough. Motion carried. Councilmember Kough requested that the contract with Cathy Bennett be reviewed. Mayor Klausing noted that the Ms. Bennett was under contract with the HRA, and suggested that Councilmember Pust or Maschka advise the HRA of Councilmember Kough's request, and report back to the City Council as to that position.
