<br />City of <br /> <br />~-.~ <br /> <br />City of Roseville <br />Special Session of the City Council <br />Tuesday, February 6, 2007 <br />Roseville Skating Center Fireside Room <br />7:00 - 9:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Call to Order <br />Mayor Klausing called to order a Special Session of the Roseville City <br />Council at 7: 10 p.rn. at the Roseville Skating Center Fireside Room. All <br />Councilmembers were present along with City Manager Bill Malinen. <br /> <br />Agenda <br />Mayor Klausing noted that the purpose of the meeting was for an infoDnal <br />discussion by the City of Council norms and basic understandings of how <br />Councilmembers dealt with each other and staff. <br /> <br />Throughout the evening, Councilmembers referred to a tentative outline <br />prepared by staff, using a basic outline: <br />I) The basics (norms for this meeting); <br />2) Expected outcomes of this discussion; <br />3) Norms development; <br />4) NODns consolidation; and <br />5) Evaluation/Next steps. <br /> <br />Mayor Klausing deferred to Councilmember Roe, who had previously <br />submitted his introductory thoughts on tonight's discussion, modeled after <br />those norms used during the Imagine Roseville 2025 community visioning <br />process and his perception of their effectiveness related to civic life and the <br />public engagement process. <br /> <br />City Manager Malinen, at the request of Mayor Klausing, provided his <br />perception on the end product desired following tonight's meeting; noted <br />some of his observations during his brief time with the City to-date; and <br />offered staff's assistance to the City Council in providing techniques or <br />approaches to assist with the City Council's workflow with the limited time <br /> <br />1 <br />
