City Council Study Session - 01/22/07 Minutes - Page 19 suggested Tuesday evening, February 6, 2007, from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. and Saturday afternoon, February 10, 2007, from 1:30 - 3 :30 p.m. Staff was directed to proceed with scheduling and advise Councilmembers if those dates were available; and to provide additional information to Councilmembers regarding Ms. Carroll's hourly billing rate to facilitate the visioning portion of the discussions. Councilmembers were advised to provide individual comment to City Manager Malinen regarding Ms. Carroll's involvement as facilitator. 11. Councilmember-Initiated Items from the Council Meeting of January 8, 2007 - or Past Council Meetings 11.a Request of Councilmember Kough: Consider Creating an Audit Committee Councilmember Kough sought to have two Councilmembers appointed as an "Audit Committee" to consider and follow through with recommendations of the external auditor following their annual audit. There was some confusion as to the intent of such a committee, whether it was a standing committee or task force; and a specific charge to such a committee. Mayor Klausing respectfully requested that Councilmember Ihlan meet with Councilmember Kough, as well as City Manager Malinen and Finance Director Miller to discuss a more concrete proposal for City Council consideration. 11.b Consider Next Steps on Subdivision Moratorium Council member Ihlan provided proposed amendments to the City's platting and subdivision ordinances (attached) and proposed a public input process for the study modeled after that of the rental housing task force. Councilmember Ihlan addressed time constraints for the study; and noted the strong opinions across the community regarding this issue.
