Mr. Malinen suggested this method <br />would allow the Council's goals to be consistent and aligned <br />with the community's visioning process; and sought Council <br />direction and a possible time frame. <br /> <br />Councilmember Ihlan expressed her preference for weeknight <br />meetings, limiting the length of the meetings to allow more <br />productivity; and time between meetings to allow reflection and <br />process mg. <br /> <br />Mayor Klausing expressed his preference for Saturday meetings <br />to avoid weeknight family schedule conflicts, and in an effort to <br />allow for more productivity during a daytime meeting, rather <br />than following a work day. <br /> <br />Councilmember Pust, with the caveat that a discussion regarding <br />norms was held and resolved before them, expressed her <br />willingness to attend either evening or Saturday meetings, <br />suggesting a compromise of one evening meeting and one <br />Saturday meeting. <br /> <br />Councilmember Kough was flexible with his schedule, with the <br />exception of Saturdays in March when he would not be <br />available. <br /> <br />Councilmember Roe was flexible with his schedule for several <br />evenings or a Saturday; and encouraged that goals be established <br />well within the first quarter of the year. <br /> <br />Mayor Klausing encouraged adoption of goals more immediately <br />to allow staff to develop their work plans. <br /> <br />Discussion included preferred time of day; number of meetings; <br />status of the visioning report and the need to review and digest <br />that report prior to setting goals; status of Ann Carroll's contract <br />and cost for her facilitating a special session; potential use of <br />steering committee members to work with the Council on the <br />community visioning components and intents. <br /> <br />After further consideration and discussion, Mayor Klausing <br />
