Roseville Sister City Association <br />Minutes <br />June 4, 2002 <br />Present: Joyce and James Boardson, Mary Meyers, Tom and Virginia Turba <br />Minutes: <br />1. Previous Action Items: Joyce has made several atte�pts over the past 7 <br />weeks to connect with the new manager at HarMar concerning the d�splay <br />case. It does not look optomistic for success. Other areas suggested hy <br />the group are Rosedale, Fairview Community Center, and back at the Iibrary. <br />Joyce will look into these areas. <br />2. Treasurer's �e�ort: Not avai�abXe <br />3. Shinmachi: Homes have been found for rhe 10 students and one teacher <br />for thezr arrival on August 8. One home for anoCher teacher is still <br />needed. - We do not know, yet, if the teacher wi11 be a male or f.emale. <br />4. Costa Rica: Tom has made communications with Yvonne. A meeting in C.R. <br />is planned. At the time of her response, C.R. was enthusiastically cheering <br />the C.R. team which won over China at the World Soccer Tournaments in Korea. <br />5. Future Activities: Much of the parade preparaCzons have been lined up. <br />Joyce has enough children, plus extras, lined up. NO more children can be <br />accommodated. Our position in the parade is not known, yet. <br />b. Ongoing business: Virginia will check the supply of phamphlets aC Fairview <br />and restock as needed. <br />7.
