Treasurer's Report: Carol gave our current financial status. There should <br />be money available to give some assistance to students going to ,Tapan this <br />summer. <br />2. Shinmachi: One of the Shinmachi teachers who has been here 3 previous years <br />plans to attend St. Thomas's English progrom f.rom April 1 ro March, 2002. <br />3. Costia Kica: The two St. C1oud graduaties f.rom Costa Rica seemed to have a great <br />sCay during their extended stiay in Roveville afrer graduation excercises. <br />We were very greatful far Ron and Ingrid Eggert's hosting over Christmas. Kwo <br />Wei hosted for a day, going to the Art Instituee and State Capieal tnur. <br />Boardsons also hosted for 3 days, taking them to 2 school tours, C.R. Consulate, <br />Science Museum, crass country skiing, and to a teacher's supply store- for 2� <br />hrs. of shopping? With a joint efforti, they were also ab�e to get text books <br />they wanted, along with lost luggage. <br />Tom has not heard from Costa Rican contacts regarding basketbaZl players or <br />student exchange this summer. He will be attempting to make contacts again. <br />Holly has heen on a medical leave. Joyce will be trying to deJ.iver gifts to <br />her,left by the students,�rom Sylvia. <br />4. Shinmachi is starting to increase activities concerning the student exchange <br />this summer. There are several students interested in going to Japan. <br />5. No new business. <br />6. Tom presented a Sister City News letCer giving information on Duluth�s activi- <br />ties in Russia. <br />7.
