Roseville Sister City Association <br />September 6, 2005 <br />Minutes <br />Present: Joyce Boardson, Jan Schultz, Tom and Virginia Turba <br />MinuCes: <br />1. TReasury report: No change <br />2. Shinmachi: It is doubtful that Shinamchi will be able to keep an exchange/ <br />re�ationship going since Che merging of several cities. 5t. Paul celebrated <br />their 50th anniversary on August 20 which Tom attented. �he Scouts hosted <br />Japanese scouts earlier. <br />3. Costa Rica: Tony Anderson wi11 not be organizing a trip to C.R. in Feb., <br />2006, for the presidential elections. Eduardo Cruz is sti11 in F�orida and <br />has said he can still be a contact person. Joyce bought a used sewing machine <br />at Goodwill and had �he needed work needed befnre shipping to C.R. appraised. <br />Total anticipate cost was $150.00. Due to the cost and not knowing when we <br />could get someone to take it down, the group decided not to follow through with <br />keeping and the machine was returned to Goodwill. <br />4. Future activites: There has been no word/information from the Roseville <br />Community band concern developing a trip to Costa Rica. <br />5.
