Roseville Si:,ter City Association <br />Minutes <br />June 2, 2005 <br />Present: Joyce Boardson, Tom and Virginia Turba <br />Minutes: <br />1. Current Acitivites: Tom has met with the Roseville Community Band. They <br />are interested in connecting with us for a poasible trip to Costa Rica in <br />2007. Tom referred rhem Co Pre£erred Adventures and alsa suggesCed �hey <br />look into the Community Fund for potential financial assistance as they will <br />extra cost due shipping their instruments. <br />2. Treasurer`s report: layce updated the group on our financial status. <br />3. Shinmachi Report: No one was available. <br />4. Costa Rica: Tom is sti11 hoping to get a group together for the 2006 elect- <br />ions. This would be a good opportunity for Co�unitiy Band representatives to <br />lay ground work for a trip in 2007. <br />5. New Business: The issue of having minutes sent by e-mail was discussed. How- <br />ever, not every one has e-rnail available t� receive attachments. It is also <br />difficult for some to receive non�work related e-mail at work. <br />6. Informa.tion items: There is anticipation of a Japanese jazz hand coming in <br />2Q06. Roseville has a jazz band of about 40-50 members. This may be an <br />opportunity for another connection/ relationship. <br />7. Negt meeting: Due to vacations and su�er activities, the next meeting wi11 �e <br />on Tuesda.p, July 19, 2005.
