MINUTES OF THE 50TH ANNIVERSARY COMMITTEE THURSDAY, OCTOBER 1, 1997 ROSEVILLE ACTIVITY CENTER 2800 ARONA ATTENDING Don Anderson, Ray Barton, Carmen Bell, Dawne Engelmayer, Mindy Greiling, Ke� Hansen, Lorraine Hansen, Denny Harris, Mary Harris, Pat Johnson, Margaret KeF�r, Carol Kough, Barb Mastel, Bob Matson, S�e�e North, Sheila Prok, Frank Rog, ClifF Smith, Kathy Welsch, and Don Zibell. The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m by Chairperson Pat Johnson. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Barb Mastel mo�ed, Lorraine Hansen seconded, that the September 4, 1997 Committee minutes b� approved. All ayes. VlCE CHAIRPERSON Carmen Bell moved, Cliff Smith seconded, to confirm Lorraine Hansen as Committee Vice Chairperson. All ayes. BIRTHDAY KICKOFF Lorraine Hansen reported that the Roseville Bakery will provide four sheet cakes with one ha�ing special Anniversary decoration for $'l25.00. No price has yet been received on the ice cream_ FINANCE COMMITTEE Denny Harris indicated the Finance Committee has met_ Denny and Ken Hansen will chair the button sale. Barb Maste! commented that she would be willing to work with Ken and Denny on the button process. Denny indicated it was important fihe Finance Committee keep moving on plans for funding the events. Pat Johnson requested that all Event Chairs provide her an estimate of their event cos#s within the next two weeks (by Thursday, October 16). There was discussion regarding whetF�er fihe Committee should apply for 501 C-3 status. Ste�e No�th indicated that the City could provide bookkeeping services for the Committee. Contributions would be deductible because the Cify is a nonprofit organization. PUBLICITY Ray asiced anyone with publicity ideas to let him know. He woufd like to get something out each week regarding fihe celebration. Ray and Pat will meet 'tn the near future. BAND CONCERT No report.
