50th Anniversary Committee Minutes <br />October 1, 1997 <br />Page 2 <br />DANCE AT OVAL <br />Carol Kough reported that #he following bands have agreed to perForm at the dance: <br />BAND FEE <br />Brandy Creek Band $ 300 <br />Rock�� H�llywcods �2,750 <br />Banjo Bandits Donating fiime <br />Barb Mastel moved, Ken Hansen seconded, tha# the Committee approve the Brandy Creek <br />Band, Rockin Ho{lywoods, and Banjo Banciits for performing at the OVAL dance. Further <br />that down payments be made to the Brandy Creek Band and Rockin Hollywoods. All ayes. <br />TASTE OF ROSEVILLENOLUNTEER RECOGNITION <br />Bob Matson ind�cated the Committee has met at the Ice Center to review how the event <br />could be laid ouf. It is the Committee's goal is to have 15 to 20 restaurants participate. He <br />has talked to the Roseville Arts Council about spansoring an Art Fair at the OVAL the same <br />day as Taste of Roseville, and they have expressed interest in participating. <br />Bob also has had preliminary discussions with Bob Bierscheid regarding the possibility of <br />having a carnival as part of the even#. The event is scheduled for August and the carnival <br />is available only one weekend in June. The Committee discussed the pros and cons of <br />changing the date of the Taste of RosevilleNolunteer Recognition. Bab Matson indicated <br />he was willing to do it whenever the Committee decided. <br />Frank Rog moved, Carmen Belf seconded, that the Taste of RosevilleNolunteer <br />Recognition event confiinue as scheduled on August 16, 1998, and that if there were a <br />carnival in June, it could also be considered a 50th Anni�ersary event. All ayes. <br />Bob indicated they would plan to have the Taste of Roseville in Central Park unless <br />advised otherwise by the Committee. <br />Carol Kough asked about the possibility of including a iarge craft show with the Taste of <br />Roseville event. Dawne Engelmayer will try to find an individual to head up a Crafts <br />Committee_ That person would then work with Carol Kough. <br />
