SALUTE TO BUSINESS AND INDUSTRY—Pat Johnson indicated she has talked to Frank <br />Rog. Frank has suggested the Salute To Business And Industry be combined with the <br />Taste Of Roseville/Salute To Volunfieers, and incorpora#ing the lasertainment show as the <br />Saiufie To The Business Communifiy. <br />Joan Ger�en moved, Dawne Engelmayer seconded, that the Salute To Business And <br />Industry be included as part of the Taste Of Roseville/Salute To Volunteers event <br />scheduled for August �2 and 23. All ayes. <br />G4LDEN ROSE BANQUET—Carmen Bell indicated the Committee had met at Midland <br />Hills and had tentatively decided on having the Social Hour from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m., with <br />dinner at 7:00 p.m. She indicated the price woufd be between $20 -$25 per perso�. The <br />Committee is exploring the possibility of chicken for the menu, and Carmen asked for <br />Committee comments. <br />After discussion, it was decided the Banquet Committee would explore the possibility of <br />having a choice of entree for the banquet. <br />Carmen indicated they are considering music for the evening, possibly musicians from the <br />Rymer School of Music or Roseville Area High School. <br />Dawne Engelmayer indicated that #he teachers at the Rymer School would be willing to <br />donate their time to provide m�sic at the banquet. <br />Finance Committe�Don Zibell reported that there is a grant pending with the Rose�ille <br />Community Foundation for $7,500 to support the 50th Anniversary Celebration. <br />Ray Barton moved, Don Anderson seconded, that fhe Committee authorize the application <br />for a grant from the Roseville Community Foundation in the amount of $7,500. All ayes. <br />Publicity Committe�Ray Barton indicated they have provided information to Bob <br />Bierscheid for including in the Parks and Recreation Winter Program Brochure. Ray also <br />distributed a Public Refa�ions Infarmation form which he encouraged Committee members <br />to use when they are requesting press releases, etc. Ray will be responsible for written <br />publicity, and Joan Gerten will handle publici#y on cable N. <br />Skating Center Events Coordination—Don Anderson indicated the 50th Anniversary <br />logo will be displayed on the OVAL scoreboard. They are also exploring the possibility of <br />putting the Iogo on the ice. <br />Buttons—Ken Hansen reported that a letter has been sent #o businesses regarding <br />possible donations for prizes for button purchasers. <br />2 <br />
