The three main sponsors of tbe <br />Iaser show will have their loaos displayed on the laser screen anc� all the other business <br />logos will be on the scoreboard. <br />Pat 3ohnson is doing the publicity for the Taste. There will be 2 quarter page ads in the <br />Pioneer Press. <br />Don Anderson is coordinating a sign up to sell shirts the weekend of the Taste and the <br />Da�ce in September. <br />Mark Huges reported that we hope to have Channel 5 there to do some filrr�ing of the <br />weekend events. <br />DANCING ON ROSES - It was reported that the bands and the vendars are all set. Music wiil <br />begin at 1:00. Denny Harris is recruiting volunteers fvr that event. Pat ]ohnson will be doing tt�e <br />PR for the dance and the information will run twice in the Pioneer Press. The committee will meet <br />the August 2S. <br />GOLDEN ROSE BANQUET - Betty Wolfangle reported that tickets for the banquet are now <br />available. The cost of a ticket is $25.00 made payable to tl�e City of Roseville. The Rosevitle <br />Community Bank is helping to sponsor the banquet. The dinner will include chicken, beef, wine <br />and dessert. Background music will be provided and there will be historical exhibits. Tickets wiIl <br />go quickly, so contact Betty or others on the comrnittee. <br />4PERATING CONII►�IITTEE REP4RTS <br />F'�NANCE COMMITTEE - Tom Johnson reported that we are in pretty gaod shape financially. <br />We have approximatety $56,0OO.OQ in income and our expenses are estimated to be approximately <br />$56,000.00. Tom also reported that the Rose Fest Parade expenses were approximately $13,000 <br />with a$15, OE)0 budget. Thauk you letters are bezng sent to Chose who contributed money to the <br />RoseFest Parade. <br />SKATING CENTER EVENTS COORDINATION - Don Anderson �reported that things <br />have run very smoothly with the Skating Center. He v�riil be available to help out at the events. <br />BUTTON COMMITTEE - Denny Harris reQorted t�aat as of August 5, 2,20Q buttons have been <br />sold and 170 are out on consignment. The cornmittee has reorciered 1,000 buttons to seil at the <br />Taste of Roseville and at Dancing on Roses. Perfor�ners/participants will wear a badge/�ibbon to <br />identify them. Barb Mastel will take care of getting them. Everyone 12 and up wi11 need a button <br />for the days activities. <br />PIONEER PORTRAIT C�MMITTEE -Mary Bakernan reported that tbe decision on the grarit <br />proposal will be anade tomonow, Thursc3ay, August. 6. The cable commission co�nmented that <br />this was a"most ambitious" project. Twenty five interviews are already compieted and t�e <br />committee plans to interview ano�her 25-34 people. (FYI - the committee received the grant from <br />the cable commission, so now will proceed with interviewing.) <br />OTHER BUSIN�SS - <br />• Tom Alleva has been at a number of Taste of Roseville meetings working to alleviate <br />parking problems. A big thank you to Tom for ali of his hard work. <br />• Mark Hughes will foliow-up putting fliers on the circulator buses to advertise the Taste <br />and the bancing on Roses. <br />AD iOURNMENT <br />The meeting was adjourned at 8:20 p.m. The next meeting wili be Wednesday, September 2, 1998 <br />at 7:0O p.m. at the Roseville Activity Center. <br />
