AttachmentB <br />1 <br /> STREET RECONSTRUCTION AGREEMENT <br />2 <br />3 <br />This Agreement is made on__________, 2012, between the City of Shoreview, a <br />4 <br />Minnesota municipal corporation (“Shoreview”), and the City of Roseville, a Minnesota <br />5 <br />municipal corporation (“Roseville”). <br />6 <br />1. PURPOSE <br />7 <br />Shoreview and Roseville (Collectively the “Cities”) have determined that it is in the best <br />8 <br />interests of the residents of each city to undertake in a cooperative fashion the reconstruction of <br />9 <br />County Road D between Lexington Avenue and Victoria Street (the “Project”). The goal of the <br />10 <br />Cities is to provide for a coordinated cost effective completion of the Project. The purpose of this <br />11 <br />agreement is to set forth the terms governing the design and construction of the Project. <br />12 <br />2. PROJECT <br />13 <br />2.1 The Project shall consist of the facilities identified in Exhibit A hereto, subject to <br />14 <br />modification as provided herein. <br />15 <br />2.2 The costs of the Project shall be paid by the Cities as provided in Section 6.1 <br />16 <br />hereof. <br />17 <br />2.3 Inclusion of items not identified in Exhibit A, such as additional landscaping, <br />18 <br />sidewalks, or street lighting are at the discretion of each city. The cost of such additional items is <br />19 <br />the sole responsibility of the city that approves such additions. <br />20 <br />3. FEASIBILITY REPORT <br />21 <br />3.1 Shoreview shall prepare a feasibility report for the Project. The feasibility report <br />22 <br />shall describe the existing conditions, proposed public infrastructure improvements, preliminary <br />23 <br />cost estimate, and estimated assessments for the Project. <br />24 <br />4. DESIGN <br />25 <br />4.1 If the feasibility study is approved by each city council, Shoreview shall prepare <br />26 <br />engineering drawings, specifications, and construction plans for the Project. The construction <br />27 <br />plans shall include a cost estimate. The final cost estimate shall include all costs associated with <br />28 <br />the Project as well as a contingency budget for unforeseeable circumstances associated with the <br />29 <br />construction. Shoreview shall comply with any requirements of Minnesota law with respect to <br />30 <br />approvals of such plans and specifications. <br />31 <br />4.2 Final construction plans, engineering drawings, specifications and cost estimates <br />32 <br />shall be submitted to each city for the approval of each city council. <br />33 <br />34 <br /> <br />
